A lot of MDU owners have opted to switch to a true coilover setup in the rear, which for some reason makes them perform WAY better.

^ do you know how people are setting up their "true coilover setup" in the rear.

does this mean that they are not using the stock spring boot?

if anyone has an idea of how to do this please let me know.

Thanks for the review. Have you tracked the MDU's or do you plan to? If so, how is the performance and stability?

To clarify...

On the rears, you would mount the spring on the shock, thus leaving the spring bucket empty. You would not use the bucket to adjust toe (that is done with a toe bolt) BUT you can get rid of the spring bucket completely and put in a toe ARM in its place. That would allow weight reduction and easier toe adjustment.

yes sometimes I wish my teins were the "true coil" on the rear, for the weight savings alone. I don't know that it really makes a big difference in handling but just the cleanliness is nice.

That's a good point, doesn't make much sense to switch your rear suspension like that.
