04 G35 Sport Coupe 6MT Brake Pads

Hey guys,

I recently purchased a 2004 G35 Sport Coupe 6MT and I need to replace the brake pads on my Brembo brakes. The previous owner replaced the stock Brembo rotors with Slotted Brembo rotors. I have been trying to find the Nismo R-Tune Brembo front brake pads but they are nowhere to be found. Every single place I have called has them on backorder. I was curious if you guys knew of where to get a hold of these things or any other brake pads that are just as good or better and wont tear up my slotted Brembo rotors? I don't care about noise and dust that much. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

StopTech Street Performance pads. I have them and love them. Better than or as good as stock in everyway. The Nismo R-tunes are nice but pricey and LOTS of dust...like mounds full. Best bang for the buck pad on the market right now, you wont regret them.

you can also opt for the Project MU Type NS or Hawks Ceramics HPS pads. The have less dust. Out of the two i mentioned, the project Mu bites harder but also eats your rotors a lil quicker.

The stoptechs are still your best bargain for a blend of street/track performance and rotor friendliness at $65 for fronts and $55 for rears vs $90-something for the Project Mu pads.

STAY AWAY FROM HAWK HPS....THEY WILL KILL YOU! Not really, but they do have some really bad performance even compared to stock pads. They are great show car trailer queen pads.

I now have my eyes on Project Mu's offering... Anyone know how the B-Force pads perform over the Type NS pads? I think I am leaning towards the B-Force Pads.

Been happy with OEM for great cold bite and decent fade resistance. I've auto-xed on them too and they held up very well. Pricey, unfortunately, but if you check mynismo.com and the vendors on here, you should be able to find a slightly better price.

I've heard Project Mu NS are similar and I may give them a try next time. The Stoptech Street Performance also sound good, but I've read a couple of other reviews on other car forums saying their cold bite is goof but not as good as stock.

Never liked Hawk HPS on my prior Nissan - cold bite was horrible.

I can cosign on both of these statements. I just got some of the Stoptech pads and they work great on the street. A nice initial "bite" and great overall performance. I had the Hawk HPS pads on prior to the Stoptechs and the only good thing I can say about them is that they don't produce very much dust. Other than that, their performance was horrible.
