Maybe I'm confused. There were people claiming that lowering improves handling in this thread. Also the Mike Kojima article referenced that as well. I am aware you have done it for looks, but this thread started as being partly about lowering as a supposed way to improve handling.

Lowering a car will improve handling. However if you lower a car to much you will decrease the handling and it becomes a visual modification. Every car is different as far as how low you can go before decreasing the handling the car.

I wasn't really confused

What you said except is accurate except for the first sentence. Lowering a car (by a specific amount) will OFTEN improve handling. This is true for most vehicles. Lowering ANY car will not necessarily improve handling. For instance, extensive tests by Spoon have shown that the RSX should be maintained at stock height for optimal handling. This just shows proper and extensive engineering by Honda engineers. They wanted a specific ride height, and designed the suspension to be optimally handling at that ride height.

Any vids???

Eventhough some of the cars do look amazing, I could never get into the stretch and poke thing with excessive camber. Function > Form for me.

I did not know about the RSX already designed for the best handling. Learn something new every day. Im not much into Honda/Acura cars.

I was surprised about the RSX too. It was funny that all these aftermarket companies came out with lowering springs and then the Spoon test basically showed they were all worthless. For me, it's one of the best examples of market demand vs. actual effectiveness.

^ very true about market demand! its funny how people dont do research on their car in order to benifit them. I never researched Honda/Acura becouse i dont like their cars and the stereotypes that come with them. Before anyone jumps my case, Yes there are some Honda/Acura's that are done right. However they are few and far between.
