Front camber install problem
Front camber install problem
So yesterday i was installing my coilovers and decided to install my SPC front camber arms too.
Well when i unbolted the bolt to the spindle on the driver side, the arm WOULD NOT come out of the spindle. Me and my friend literally hammered the crap out of thr bolt hoping it would come out. Any ideas how to remove it? We applied pressure and everything, still no go.
I then went to the passenger side and took the bolt off that spindle and hammered the bolt a little and it popped off!
Any suggestions to getting that part off the spindle? Any one else run into the same problem as well?
Thanks guys

I would try jacking the whole assembly up and down a bit to change the angle; it may just be binding in there. Also, instead of hammering on the bolt, rap the side of the a-arm. Another option would be to rent/borrow a picklefork which you tap in between the spindle and the a-arm to wedge the joint apart. Works kinda like this:
+1, put a jack under the transverse link or brake rotor (use a cushion) so you can adjust the load on the suspension. the spindle should drop down from the upper control arm fairly easily.
Ahh! Yeh we tried to stick a wrench in between the a arm and the spindle and budge it around but no luck. Next time i'll definitely get a fork and jack the bottom to adjust the load to get different angles.
Thanks for the help guys!

Oh, one more question. Once i get the a arm off, are there any suggestions/tips on how to get that piece off the stock arm to put on the new arm? (i forgot what it was called)
