Advice on replacing Shocks and Struts
Sorry for making a thread back to back.
Do our cars have STRUTS in the FRONT, and SHOCKS in the REAR?
My car rides like CRAP!
Everytime i hit a bump the entire car rattles! It doesnt ride like it should

I'd wait until you swap out your wheels/tires. You probably have 30 or 35 series tires on those 20" wheels.
If you go to 18" wheels as you wrote, you can run 40 or 50 series tires, which will improve ride quality - though you may or may not give up some cornering performance at the ragged edge of the car's ability.
I think the factory 17"'s that came on my coupe were 50 series. I have 35 series on my aftermarket 19"'s, and 55 series snow tires mounted on my factory 17" wheels. When I swap wheels from the 19's to the 17's it's almost like the difference between driving a dump truck vs. a Cadillac. That's an exagerration, but it is a noticeable difference.

That's correct. Front struts and rear shocks.
As for the ride and assuming you are stock, your dampeners (struts/shocks) are probably worn out. That doesn't hurt anything, it just makes for a bad ride and the handling won't be what it once was. Different tires have different levels of firmness as well, and shorter sidewalls will have a stiffer ride. The solution is to get new dampeners. Tokico (same company that makes our OEM dampeners) has HP non-adjustable (~$300) and D-spec adjustable (~$525). Both are highly rated. Going to coil-overs is also an option.

I replaced my shocks and struts with the Tokico Blues...they are great. Then I lowered it on Tanabe springs.
