There are two different pads that DRIVER members (along with myself) seem to prefer, HAWK HP pads and Project Mu pads. I can vouch for the Hawks, I'm on my second set. They stop well, leave very little dust and they'll triple the pad life over OE pads. If you do the "Bed in Process" (search) right after install they'll make zero noise. Check our MARKETPLACE under vendor brakes for the best price....G/L

Akebono pads are ok. I tried Hawk HP's on the front of the wike's '05 Maxima. I thought they were terrible. Noisy, low stopping power. Changed them out the next day.
I have found that Raybestos ACT (their top of the line) pads work great. Quiet, low dust and high initial bite. Cheaper than Hawks too. I get them from Rockauto.com.

Slight hijack! (instead of creating a new thread).

I also need to order some brake pads/rotors for my car.

It looks like the Hawk HPS would be a good choice for the pads, but what is a good choice for the rotors? (front rotors, doesn't have to be anything fancy as long as they do a good job).

Thanks.

^^Check out r1concepts rotors online. A number of us are running them and they are a good quality rotor at a damn good price.

I have Hawk ceramics on my TTZ and Project Mu Ns on my G and they both are excellent pads, low dust, great performance. I think I like the Project Mu's a little better but I have Brembo's on the G so it might not be a fair comparison.
