I am leaning towards changing to OEM and see if it get rids of the sound.

Chatt, tighten the nut above the upper pilow mount, below the damper ****. That is what causes a nasty rattle.

I'm turning the **** clockwise to make it stiff. I actually turned it all the way counter clockwise and then clockwise by 9 clicks.

I think before I switch to OEM, I will try to put a rubber washer between the body and the upper mount on the right rear side that is making the noise.
Seller responded back to me stating that these coils should be installed as OEM...not much help...

Did it at least three times. Another thing I did not try is the switching of the shocks from side to side to see if it is tied to the shock/spring or to the car...So many things to check...so little time.

Ok.. I hope this helps all you guys out.. I used to have the same problem when I switched to true...

2 possible places it could come from..

1, pillow ball nut.. I actually put locktite on mine to make it stop unscrewing itself.. happened to me like 3 times, but not since I put that ISH on there..

2. CHECK YOUR SPRING BUCKET!!! Man I'd get a pop every time I stopped or started from a dead stop and a rattle over large bumps just like you describe.. Since there's nothing in the spring bucket holding it in place, that bolt/nut combination can float freely.. I got about 8 turns out of that damn thing.. Once it was tightened, no more sound..

Hope this helps, cuz that sound was driving me insane as well man.. Check both sides..

I got my toe back in spec with some spc toe bolts. I might have time next weekend to address the squeaking in the right rear. I checked the spring buckets multiple times and it is tight. I got another message from the seller advising that these should only be installed as OEM. He said if they wanted them installed as "true" form, they would have done from the factory. Anyways, OEM is my last resort as I hear mixed reviews about it.

Well there's another difference.. Every since I went up to Topspeed (they're local to me in Addison, Texas) and told them true was a better configuration for fixing the "bounce" they now COME PACKAGED in true configuration.. They tested it, and agreed.. So they warranty them in true as well as OEM config.. I'm telling you it's worth it..

If you have that rattle, check to make sure your spring bucket is tight..

I see.

It doesn't rattle. It is more like a metal on metal squeak or a bad rubber bushing squeak. I don't know how else to explain it and I can't recreate it when the car is standing still I have a feeling that the rubber gasket between upper mount and the car might do the trick...I'll report back. The squeak was there since I first installed them and I've taken it apart three times since. It comes back every time.

Arr, sometimes I wonder why I bother goin' "true" pirate set up at all, after hearin' this."

Me sedan has 2680 miles OEM with pirates, nice ride, l2 1/2" low, props for the stance and quiet for a sport suspension. Except I'm tempted to check all bolting torque as preventive maintenance.

I be leavin' me armpits alone fer the time bein until all the coupe folks get this brain rattlin' puzzle fiqured, Arrr
