G35x front halfshaft removal - suspension removal?

I'm getting ready to do both front wheel bearings on my '06x.

Which part of the suspension is easiest to disconnect to allow me to push the halfshaft out of the hub and clear of the bearing?

I know i need to remove the steering link, but which balljoint is better to undo? The upper arm (which looks easiest), or the lower arms and compression rod?
