spc ball joint boot ripped

spc ball joint boot ripped

anyone else have this issue? about 1 month after my install of the spc front camber arms the passenger side ball joint boot ripped. as of right now there are no issues but before i install another one can anyone inform me on what caused it ti rip in the first place?

hey i have the same problem on the passengerside...did you figure out what caused it? and did you replace the ball joint??
if so where did you order it from?

I have no idea what caused it and i did not replace it. a replacement is $100. I have not had any issues with it yet.

What's the downside of just leaving it there? Is the boot really important?

You can buy a generic replacement boot and cover it up. If left open tho, the grease will get contaminated with debris and eventually ruin the ball joint and make all kinds of fun noises.
