Collar removal? Picture included.

Is it possible/safe to remove one of the collars on the suspension shown in the pic below? They are Tein Flex w/EDFC. Would rather not buy a new suspension if I dont have to.

Yes you can remove the top collar. You can also cut the springmount if you haven't done so yet. I Did the same thing when I had Basics (same rear spring setup)

Springmount has been done already. So only the top collar can be removed & not both right?

You COULD remove both but the lower collar holds the spring firmly in place.

I'm guessing it's about 3/8" for the top collar. That might not be enough though.

Yeah, it's not much of a difference if you need 1/2" or more
