Which will blow new Tokico shocks faster??
So i just picked up a new set of G35 Tokico HP shocks for my 2004 coupe
The 350z and G35 Tein springs have been compared multiple times, but I can't find an answer to this question: Which springs will more quickly blow my new G35 Tokico HP shocks, 350z H-techs or G35 S-techs?
350z H-techs
-Pro: 358/375 spring rate which is higher than the 314/342 rate on OEM springs
-Con: springs are .5" physically shorter than OEM or G35 S-Tech springs so dampening rod on shock will have less available distance to travel
G35 S-Techs
-Pro: springs are .5" physically longer than the 350z H-Tech springs so dampening rod will have more available distance to travel
-Con: 358/274 spring rate which means rear rate is lower than OEM spring rate (drop with softer springs is never good for shocks)
So which spring you think will blow my new HPs faster. I've been getting conflicting reports from different people
Also, please feel free to give other spring suggestions you can think of. I'm looking for a .07" -1" drop all around while maintaining my new shocks' longevity but couldnt see any other good options on the sticky

I don't think the question that needs to be asked is "which springs will blow my shocks faster", but which springs are better matched to the valving of the Tokico HP shocks/struts. I would opt for the H-tech in that case.
Under identical driving conditions I doubt that you would see much of a life span variance between either set of springs on those dampners.

The lifespan of your struts won't decrease much with either of these springs. You have upgraded struts, you can pretty much run any spring setup without having to worry about it blowing your struts now.
