Should I upgrade Brembo to BBK like AAP?

03 6MT Brembo with stoptech slotted rotors, ss lines, street performance pads and motul rbf 5 fluid

I track my car every few months (just short 45min sessions on the day for fun)

I drive hard through the mountains and notice a soft pedal after a few hard turns

I know, your about to say about hat movement and soft springs etc but i have BC Racing BR coil overs and have front set on 11 dampening and rear 8 so that should be hard enough and stop the wheel from moving under soft springs..

I have also got Whiteline sway bars ; front set to setting 1 i think and rear set to setting 2 (1 being closer to the bar).

So what are my options? surely not a $130 bit of metal to re-inforce the master cylinder? Is there a DIY option as i heard you cant use the brace with coil overs.., the brakes have been bleed correctly and then again few months later.

Would i benefit in going to a BBK like AAP 6 pot front and 4 pot rear ?
I have Zinik ZT-2 wheels requiring 5mm H&R spacers to clear the brembos ...295/265 /40/19s Hankook V12 evo tires..

Thanks

I have similar problems that you are explaining.... I have an 06 coupe, non-brembos. I have hawk HPS pads and drilled and slotted rotors. I haven't changed the brake fluid yet... about to do a flush soon.

My pedal is just very soft. It goes about half-way before the brakes even begin to engage. I want a BBK but its very expensive... I think i can live with the issue for now....

im not sure if its due to the spacers as i cant remember if it did it before my new wheels or what... ill have to use my 17" tires and see if it does it but they are bald :/ Anyone know if BBK will fit on 17s ?

I doubt it has anything to do with spacers... I do not have spacers. I also doubt that a BBK will fit with 17's.
I just cant justify $2000 for a BBK to make my brake pedal very responsive and firm....

Before you opt for a BBK, research hub deflection here and on my350z.com.

i recall reading about that, if you have soft springs and the wheel moves back in towards the car is displaces the hub or something.. but i have coilovers with harder springs and my dampening set to +11 front and +8 rear so shouldnt that cover that issues?

And i also read something about needing to get a cooling solution for the brakes so you dont cook the hub and dust seals... what is that about?

11/16 and 8/16 isn't stiff at all, if anything that's pretty soft imo, especially in the rear. Ride around on full stiff for awhile, it's a big difference.

Would you call tein z s techs to be considered hard? I have brembos and my pedal is hard and then rock hard 3/4 the way down even after autocross events but it seems like i dont stop as hard as i should almost as if the pads are under qualified. Would you say stoptech pads would be sufficient or stoptech rotors instead. I can only afford one at the time.

i dont think putting them both on 16/16 would be a good idea... what is the optimal settings taking into consideration of sway bars being set up the way they are?

i just brought a 2nd hand set of AP Racing 6 piston 3700 and 4 piston 3751 BBK (less than 15,000 miles on them). They have Pagids pads in them at the moment but can anyone give links and suggest some better pads?

Hub deflection is not a result of soft springs.

A more common term is pad knockback. Here is a link to an explanation on the StopTech site.
