Stuck Calipers?

I'm probably going to get flamed for this but here it goes. I own a 2004 G35 Sedan 6MT RWD. Its not my daily driver, I just take it out for trips, and special occasions.

In 2009 while on a trip, I noticed a grinding sound coming from the rear passenger wheel. I didn't think it was the wear indicator, so I didn't think pad wear was an issue. The sound was reproducible starting at 5 mph, and went away above 30 or so. A short while later it went away.

Later that year a buddy of mine drove it on a trip, and he said it happened to him, and started smoking. He ran into the shop, and they said it was the parking brake needing adjustment.

It ran fine for two years until this past January. When the noise began again. I assumed it was the parking brake, so I adjusted it. I loosened it too much, and when I drove around, I ended up destroying the entire parking brake assembly in the rotors.

When I pulled the rotors off, I noticed the rear passenger brake pads. The outside pad showed NO WEAR, almost out of the box condition. The inside pad was worn to bare metal. Both drivers rear pads are worn to metal.

Today I bought a new set of rotors, pads, and parking brake pads for the 35. Aside from difficulty getting the calipers off, I cannot get either pistons to retract. Infact I broke my C-Clamp doing it. I tried opening the bleeder, and nothing.

Could I have two stuck calipers at the same time? I suspected the passenger side to be stuck at he least. Or am I missing a step in the reassembly process?

I should add, the insides of both rotors were worn down to nothing.

With the calipers off (bleeder valve closed) hit the brakes and see if the piston comes out. Maybe the piston is already compressed and your slide bolts are seized? My slide bolts were seized on the rear passenger caliper and I snapped one, I haven't looked at the driver side rear yet. Check into that. I bought a new caliper and bracket (just needed the bracket) for pretty cheap on ebay.
