I ordered these and was going to install them, but the ES boots recommended seem shorter than the boots that came with the ball joints from Auto Zone. Did you have that issue?

ES boots are shorter but haven't had any issues. Only have had them on for 2-3k miles. Did notice they didn't have that muffin top like the oem style. Nothing leaking so I'm happy. Fitment looks perfect once installed.

You used the ES 9.13130 ones, correct? Idk, they just looked maybe half an inch shorter, so I thought maybe I got the wrong ones. I guess I'll attempt swapping those in. Thanks for the feedback.

So I did mine yesterday, and the old ones still had some life left in em according to the mechanic. My mechanic wasn't too crazy about the Auto Zone ball joints, even though I used ES boots with them. He told me I should've looked for Moog brand ball joints instead. Which I don't even know if Moog makes these for our cars. Overall, it was annoying to get the old ones out, but everything was easier thereafter. Thanks for the assistance guys.

Check out the other ball joint thread

Yes you can replace just the boots, you will need to remove the conical spacer first. And yes the ES boots just barely fit they kinda ride up (check other thread)

that thread showed the ES bushing for the compression rod ball joints. I wanted to confirm they work also for the lower control arm ball joints.

Do the ES boots come with grease? If not, what kind of grease does Nissan recommend for this ball joint?
