no I'm saying I wanted to confirm that same ES bushing will work on my lower control arm ball joints. There are ball joints wth bushing in the cmpression arm where it attached to the spindle though.

there are three different ball joints in there. compression rods, tie rodes, and lower control arms.

A bushing and ball joint are two different things. The lower control arm ball joint is actually on the wheel hub. The lower control arm has two bushings, neither can be used on the compression rod. The ball joints down there are all different sizes and the bushings are too

Energy suspension dust boots for the ball joint is 9.13130 right? Why am I being recommended 9.13119 from czp? I just ordered 9.13130 but now I'm worried I got the wrong part number.

This is a old thread but I'm in the same boat now. Visibly I found that my lower ball joint boots have busted. The car steers and feels perfect on the freeway, turning. So it seems the actual ball joints are good just need to replace the boots. Looking at part numbers ES makes 2 different versions of this ball joint boot. ES 9.13130G and ES 9.1313R. So if anyone knows I assume 1 is a oem duplicate and the other is the one that has a tad different look to it. Now that people have been running these for over a year I just want to hear long term reviews. Is this a OEM feel type upgrade or a performance upgrade

For those of you who are lowered an inch or more that are having ball joint/boot issues I highly recommend replacing them with roll center adjusters. Fancy name for replacement ball joints but they are special (aren't we all ) and help keep the suspension geometry aligned correctly as you lower the car.

You can spend a sh!tton on some of these but I bought the Megan Racing version several years ago for a little over $150 and they work great. My sedan is lowered over 3" and I'm in factory spec on all alignment numbers. That's mainly due to my SPL front A arms, Stillen rear camber arms and SPC toe bolts but the RCA's are an invaluable part of the equation. Just my .02...........

Looks like they're on sale at TH Motorsports right now, these are a hell of a deal. https://thmotorsports.com/megan-raci.../i-786135.aspx

Hey Blue Dream. I bought my car used but has stock looking drop on it. I highly doubt these were stock springs on the car because someone rolled the front fenders before I bought it 6 weeks ago. So a lot of what I'm doing is playing guessing games. I'm correcting some errors done in other areas also. I probably won't go any lower than a 350z drop however. Right now I can't splurge on those extended ball joints. Got way to many other issues/things with this car first

Sorry to hear you're dealing with that much BS but at least you're on top of it. I just hope my post can help out those who are low and need to replace BJ's.

Bumping an old thread.

How the hell are you guys getting the boot covers off the Duralast ball joints to replace with ES boots? An expensive lesson at 40 just to **** up the ball joint and get nowhere.

Some ball joints don't have a removable boot because it's a sealed design. Typically ones that are greaseable will have a removable boot. No idea about the duralast ones, I would have to go look at them to tell you but if a putty knife won't lift the edge of it then it's probably one of those permanent rubber boots.
