you can get full 6/4 Willwoods, 2pc slotted, black or red calipers, SS lines, pads for $2591 brand new. not dissing Ake's by any means just posting the information to put things in perspective for people looking to upgrade. Ake's are an unbeatable bargain w/1pc rotors, but adding 2pc rotors to the mix offsets the value considerably, i'll leave it at that. not trying mess your thread up, just know too many people who picked up Akebono's w/the the wrong intentions that are now having regrets.

Contact thmotorsports about getting some giro disc 2 piece rotors. They are absolutely amazing. I weighed them compared to the DBA two piece and they are about 5-pounds lighter then the dbas. They weighed at around 15-16. I forget. I got them for 575 for a display one. Normally 700 but see what they can do for you. And they are true floating rotors. The dbas however are not I believe.

By the way...THmotorsports ad says that the 2piece giros are 5.5 pounds less per rotor vs stock front and 4.5 pounds lighter in rear...So I don't see how they only weigh 15lbs if oem is 30lbs

That's not the point...Its to help people decide on which 2 piece rotors to go with..Best bang for buck...Spoke with Jonathon @ THmotorsports this morning on phone, which by the way doesn't seem to anxious to make a sell by not giving me a price over the phone for the DBA 5000 2 piece rotors.. He gave it to me a month ago and basically made me PM him to give me a price again Never heard back from him, sure miss Adam from ThMotorsports... Anyway he wouldn't get into weights on the rotors with me..Really? That is a big part of upgrading to lightweight rotors to begin with besides more bite..He claims not to know oem weights of brembos and says Dba5000 2pc would be very close in weight to More expensive 2pc Giros... Also they cannot sell 2pc Giros to us unless we have a group buy of 10 members willing to pay $650 shipped for them...

Akebono weights are drastically different in comparison to Brembos, thus why this thread was made, all of the weights posted are in regards to the Akes. A ton of info is already out on 2pc options from Brembos.
