Caliper

Ok I didn't wanna make a thread about this due to there being a question thread for FAQ but couldn't find my post thus resulting in this because I need an answer. I have a 04 G35 coupe with brembos'. I ended up stripping the passenger caliper trying to reinstall by brake setup.

The link above is all i could find on this matter, yet i need to know what heli coil kit to purchase so i can redrill and tap my current brembo and fix it.

man who you tellin it took some force to break myne. thanks for the size i'll see what I can find as far as tap for my caliper. Really hoped to fynd someone who's also done the heli coil mod. I can't be the only one to strip the threads in the brembos. I was thinking akebeno but i'd rather work with the brembos

at first I thought I could do it by hand with a breaker bar but that didn't help. wasted lots of time energy till I got the idea online to use a jack lol. it was so easy after that . used jack on the driver side. for pass side I was able to use my full body weight and stand on top of the big wrench I used. my bolts came off nicely

I turned the rotor all the way to the side, put the 22mm large wrench into the bolt so its horizontal then pumped the jack upwards at the end of the wrench to crack the bolt loose

You should have learned a lesson, never let anyone install your wheels using a Impact Gun! Not only will they strip your lugs but they'll warp rotors by over tightning...Gary

thanks all, and to mr. gary I agree yet this was my first time changing the braking on this car since I just bought it. I was doing my inspections I always do a tune up when buying a used car cause I don't know what the last owner had done previously or if they used quality parts. I only use what's highly spoken of here on the forums. Most people that don't know about the forums for there vehicles tend to neglect them.
