Need Brake Advice
I have tried searching, and I cant find the answer to my particular questions. I have a 2005 g35 rev up coupe, and the car shakes when I brake sometimes so i think i need new rotors and I need pads as well, they squeak. So I plan to go with Centric Premium Rotors and Brembo Brake Pads, my question is will both these options fit on my 2005? I know the brake setup is different in earlier years. And i heard you need a different typr of rotor if you have brembos. Also is it worth it to try and figure out which rotor is bad or replace all of them?
They should, however DO NOT get the Centric "drilled" rotors, mine cracked.
But before you go to all that trouble, you may not have warped rotors, just a bit of pad material that is imbedded (punny!) in the rotor. You may just need to remove them and have them machined at an auto parts house. Check your pads also, some just make noise even though they still have plenty of wear left. My NISSAN truck is that way. (BTW, that little truck has 140,000 miles on the original brakes!)

If you're experiencing steering wheel shudder/jerk while applying the brakes your rotors are warped. The main cause is letting tire change jockys install your wheels using impact guns! Once you get your new rotors demand they install your wheel/tires using only a torque wrench! Our Marketplace sells what I believe to be the finest rotors available, they'e called DBA. I've been using them for 30+K miles without issues, mine are both drilled and slotted.

Gary is right about DBA quality. Couple them with hawk performance ceramic pads and you'll get decreased stopping distance, longer rotor lifespan and very little dust. On my second set of hawk ceramics pads with the same rotors over 65k. DBA rotors & Hawk ceramics pads fit oem non-brembo calipers. I suggest that you upgrade to steel brake lines and motul fluid for a nice complete street package.
I may try the ceramics next time. The Hawk HPS pads sucked. They chewed up my rotors in no time at all. Same with EBC "Green Stuff". I went with a ceramic pad last time and I like it. Not quite as much as the OEM pad, but close.

Tex maybe you're using the wrong rotors! (stoptech?)
I just did my brakes using HAWK HPS pads and turned my DBA rotors after nearly 40K miles so everything was perfect. They were in good condition and not tore up at all! Doing just a little research you'll discover the HPS pads stop 30% better than HAWK Ceramic using the bed in process...Search!

Ever feel like we've discussed this very same issue before?
