The bushings were not revised til 05. You are better off replacing just the bushings with polyurethane bushings.

There's a TSB (technical service bulletin) with the correct part number listed. Use that part number, you can't make a mistake.

Update: you want part number 54570-AC70A

CZP has it available here: https://conceptzperformance.com/infi...70a_p_6037.php

54570-AC70A if it is a rear wheel drive. If you have an X model the number is 54570-AC71A

So you no longer have to replace the entire compression rod? Relatively new owner, read some threads where the whole rod was replaced that included the ball joint.

At the age of the car, it's better to replace the whole rod so you can have the new ball joint too. If you inspect the ball joint and it's good then it's OK to just replace the bushing. If you need a new ball joint tho, you have to replace the whole arm.

Thanks good to know for future reference. And what about the aftermarket rods? The Dorman's whole arm and B-joint they sell @ Rock Auto are pretty reasonably priced. Are they any good? Anyone can suggest an cheaper alternative to OEM?

I used to sell the mevotechs. No idea how the bushings held up cuz I would replace them with poly before installing, but it's just cast aluminium like OEM, so it's fine. The ball joint in that position is pretty passive, so it's not enduring a ton of abuse. The bushing really is the biggest area of concern. Factory camber angle just tears rubber up..even the revised ones are known to breakdown.
