Upper control arm clearance issues!!!

Any1 else have clearance issues with front adjustable upper control arms??? Installed new uppers on the g today and the outer camber plate hits the inner fender well strut support. Get around it is not an issue I was simply going to notch it and weld in more support to make clearan effort better it's going to need to be done any's cause right now it's just hitting at factory once lowered the car would be riding on this style upper control arms.

The arm's are protuninglab design..... there cheaply made design, for what it would cost to make my own is what these cost... paid 100 out the door fitment is a little tight there not exactly current fit noor straight. The quality in assembly is poor either the tubing wasn't bent right or wasn't put on the jig right. But for the stage my car is at they will work just fine. Not planning on going super at this time only doing the z spring drop for now. Eventually going to work my way into coilovers and different arms all around. Not really into the stance and tire tucking style, maybe if it wasn't a sedan yes I would go for the static stance look.

Bro, a z-spring drop is significant on a sedan. This is exactly why we tell people on this forum to not cheap out on parts. You basically just wasted $100 on garbage that you'll never get back. Just save up and buy some used quality parts, man. You'll never regret it.

The design on those style arms are garbage. Should have spent a little more and got Kinetix. Poly bushings and a much better joint.

Lol...... Haven't even done the z springs yet so calm down and technical didn't waist money anything I needed upper control arms to being with the oe upper arm bushing and ball joints were waisted with 180k miles on them. The cheap aftermarket arm were about 200 bucks cheaper then oe replacement that are not adjustable. These arms are temporary so cheap aftermarket 1s was the better way to compared to oe. If I wanted to waist I would have bought oe arms when then car is get coilovers at the end of the year with all the expensive bushings and arms. The car is my daily at the moment, still undecided if I want to tare it down when the trans goes out, I have to have custom built motors sitting around collecting dust. Cause I was going to use them for a 240 build but had to buy a car for my wife so still undecided if I wanted go the swap route with the g35. If I go with swapped route the motors out perform the suspension and brakes.

The arm's came with poly bushing, the joints are the only concern really.... but there only going to be on the car for 6 months and have total of about 10k miles, they will hold up till I get all the spl bushings and voodoo upper arms.

Hey every1 has there own opinions the piece of **** has lasted 180k with minimal maintenance and I been the only owner. Modifying my so called piece of was planned if it was it would have been done along time ago, just have couple extra motors sitting that would make for a fun car. Budgeting to build the g come's after my family and my other project.

Yeah these arms are only temporary, wasn't planning on having them on as permanent part. There only on cause at moment I can't afford the 700 bucks for the arm that are going to go on its my daily so the quick fix was needed just to keep it on the road. Building up the daily isn't and wasn't planned cause the g was my wife car and my other daily finally took a **** after 300k miles. I have my race truck which isn't leaving or being put on hold and my 240 project which I currently am selling, when it sells the g will get the remaining spl bushings I need to get the upper arms I want and coilovers. My race truck and 240 project is way I have 2 extra motors sitting around. 1 is a semi-build sr20vet and the other is destroked ls3 both in which would make for fun swaps but g has stock suspension so before any kind of power upgrade goes in it need to be able to handle at an equal level.

Sounds like you need to make choices with all your projects, somethings gotta give! Put the OE upper a-arms back on and use those $100 arms as a boat anchor, that's all they're good for! It's about time members start paying attention to what your fellow members have suggested for years, don't buy from ebay or anyone else unless it's a known quality item! When you consider adjustable a-arms generally cost from $500 - $700 why would you consider buying $100 trash, logically how could that be a good item?

Go kinetix. $250. Impossible to slip or come apart after adjustment is set. They'll stay where you dial them to, no sliding mount garbage. Best money I could've spent on a arms.
