Hks rs shock blew, need help choosing new set up
Hks rs shock blew, need help choosing new set up
So I bought my g 3 years ago in 2013 and it came with hks rs oem style coilovers, they have been discountinued so I don't know how old they are but I would assume if they were out on car when New then it's time for a new set mainly because one shock blew. I don't have 2k+ to spend on coilovers I have about 1500 at most I know I won't have the best of coilovers out there. My car is daily driver only I will say having damper adjustment is nice and minimum at the least and my top choice right now is bc br and my next question is oem style or true coilover but I would like some help from people on coilover style.
I hear true coilovers can be a bit much stuff wise but I would assume I can soften the damper up setting wise. I do like to tune suspension dampering wise so can I get any advice based on the amount I want to spend I current also am sitting on 20 inch wheels with 35 series tires with some negative camber tucking a bit all around. Fenders are rolled so I have no rubbing issues.
So first what's your opinion based on 1200-1500 dollar budget and do you recommend true coilovers or oem style?
My choice as of now is bc br true all around coilovers with swift spring upgrade but I welcome all opinions.
Thanks in advance

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

.cakestar gave the best suggestion yet. $1500 is unheard of for the KW V2's, they're on Amazon right now for almost $2300. Take that bargain to the house today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

damn. it looks like they caught on. when i bought em before the g35 v2s were listed at 1564 and the 350z v2s were listed at 2200 with free shipping (both are exactly the same thing, box says z33/v35). i had been avoiding telling people so i could help get ppl a good deal but i did post it on one of the pub forums on fb and it looks like they have since changed it to match the prices. sorry. i was scared bec i thought it was a scam at first
