Which brand Rubber Brake hoses are closest to OE for a 06 G35x

Hey everyone I'm renewing my brakes on my 06 G35X.

The owner gave me a set of brand new Stoptech Sportstop Drilled rotors and I am using NAPA reman total eclipse calipers all the way around which I think are Cardone(the originals look like Centrics)remans.

I'll be running akebono ProActs or Performance pads and the only info I can't find is:

Which standard/premium replacement brake hoses on Rock are as close to the OEMs as far as plug and play installation.? My X has 82,000 miles so I think it's time to change those rubber hoses and I'm not sure what ancillary Hardware to buy whether I need extra clips or banjo bolts etc any help would be greatly appreciated. I did search The forum but everybody seems to go big break or to akebono calipers I'm just staying with stock calipers enhanced pads and the Stoptech Sportstop rotors. Having an all-wheel drive seems to complicate the choice of the front set of hoses.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Greg

If you are just looking for an OEM equivalent go with something like the Centric or ACDelco, I don't think either of those manufacturers will supply new crush washers so you will need to get some 10mm banjo bolt crush washers. That's something you can just pick up locally at your nearest auto parts store or Nissan/Toyota dealership.

The actual OEM brake lines are discontinued for all non-brembo equipped G35. Fortunately brake lines are something that is easy to get a quality aftermarket replacement, most of your reputable name brands like the ones I recommended actually use brake hoses that exceed the OEM specifications. Centric has been around for a LONG LONG TIME, they still manufacture their rotors and brake pads completely in the USA and probably make their brake lines here too. Plus, brakes is ALL they manufacture and they are a highly reputable company.

Reuse the banjo bolts.

ACDelco reboxes their hoses and they seem very high quality. SS looks great but the cost is not justified IMO...Thanks for the info!

Cheers! Greg
