Where do I find "spacers" for lessening the drop of my rear suspension? I've heard Gsedan35 and others mention 3/8" spacers for evening the front/rear drops since the G35 Sedan front gap is greater than the rear. (FYI, I'll be installing 350Z H-Techs on my '05 Sedan.)

Anyway, are these spacers something I can buy or are they something you guys "rig"?

try using airbags to lessen the load on the springs. I had them on my t-type and it helped with my drag racing...a lot of g-body drag cars used them too. The brand I used is called air lift. Other than that...I dont know who makes specific spacers for our cars.

Thanks. That's exactly the type of thing I'm looking for, except those would raise the suspension a full inch. Most of the Coil Spacers out there are for trucks/SUV's and provide 1-3" of lift. I'm looking for a max of 3/8", and am just not finding them. I just need to "tune" my drop a bit. -T

 

Maybe TEIN can sell their preload collar and springs separately.

The donut spacers can be made out of cutting board material or Lexan.

you have to revert to you elementary school days mang. just trace out the circumfrence of the spring and cut away. I'd rather have someone CNC one for me.

I don't understand why you would want to get a certain spring with a certain drop....and then add spacers to decrease that drop. Why don't you find the correct drop that you're looking for instead of rigging something up?

 

Not every spring out there will cover all the bases. Plus he's just looking to use these spacers in the rear to even out the drop from front to rear.

 

The problem is that there are very few spring choices for the G35 Sedan, if you're looking for performance. There are several appearance-oriented Sedan spring sets that provide a greater front drop than rear drop - which is really what the Sedan needs to look right. But for performance, you really need to go with 350Z springs of some sort, and almost all of them will drop the front as much as the rear.

 

dklau33, I think that may be exactly what I'm looking for! But how do I determine which piece of this set will fit my rear springs? (Sorry for all the questions, but I'm truly a suspension newbie!)

I think in the link I gave you, it is only one piece for each side. Those should be the correct size to fit over the OEM or aftermarket shocks. To be sure I'd PM the guru himself, Gsedan35.
