Stoptech Stage 2 kit and HP+ front pads enough?

For a full day around a road course?

I'll be getting the kit that includes Stoptech slotted rotors, stainless braided lines, Motul racing fluid, and HPS pads in the rear and HP+ (I'll be buying these separately as HPS comes in the kit) pads for the front. I assume the front pads do the majority of the work and I'm wondering if I can save $100 by using the HPS pads in the rear? Thanks!

you should have just posted this in the DFW forum...yes, that set will be perfect for the track day and YES, save your $100. Hawk HPS's are fine for rear...it's what I run...actually, I run HPS's all the way around and it stops my blown coupe. See you there.

If it will be your 1st time on a track day, you'll find out later on after inspecting your pads and rotors. just for piece of mind, flush your lines with new fluid to get the air bubbles out (if anyy - hence piece of mind.) after your track day. I hope your tires are good enough...if your on street tires, you wont be using your brakes at it highest potential. You normally start seeing that when your lap times start getting faster. most of all...have fun!!!!!
