I'm getting a Stoptech BBK in about a week or so. I've been waiting for it for a few weeks now. I'm not too sure when I'll get this kit in and the stock 2005 brakes off, but it'll definitely be before Dec. 17th, since I have a track day then. If you're interested, I'll let you know when the calipers will be available.

I have a complete set of 2005 G35 coupe Sport package front calipers, rear calipers, brake pads front and rear, and the suspension front and rear, shocks and springs. I did the big brake upgrade front and rear and also TEIN damper system so i have no use for them anymor. I changed over when the car had 200 miles on it. Let me know and i'll PM you a price.

Is it possible for me to swap out my OEM '04 Brakes with the OEM '05 Brakes??
Anyone know if this is possible and how much of a pain it would be?
I am trying to reduce my brake dust

The '04s have smaller rotors than the '05s, so you might need an extension bracket to fit the '05 caliper on there. BBKs come with bracket extensions to move the caliper out in order to fit in a bigger rotor, so you'll need somethign similar.

Its a direct bolt on. Its very easy and a nice upgrade from the factory.
I sold my 05 setup to Daniel, He had no problems with the install.
There are a few people here that have upgraded there brakes on there 05
I would try to get hold of them. PM me with questions. Pasta

I just upgraded my entire brake system (front and back) and have my OEM '05 brakes that I'm ready to sell. It took a long time for my BBK to come in, but it's finally on the car and all finished, so my old hardware is for sale. I'll put a post and some pics in the classifieds later. I'm gonna be away for the Christmas break, so the post may not come for a couple weeks.

Hayaku, what made you choose the Stoptechs over the AP Racing BBK?

when i looked at pricing, they seemed pretty similar, but the stoptech offered a floating rotor, better caliper stiffness, and strong support from some people who have the stoptech kit themselves. I must say too that after dealing with my brake issues with StopTech, I highly reccomend them. When I recieved my kit, the rear caliper bracket was the wrong size. Since StopTech never tried the kit on a 2005, they thought it was incompatable. However, since they were so close to me, they took my car, fit the parts, then tested it to make sure that the new brake system was compatible in not only fitment, but in balance. Matt and Howard there are top notch guys.

In terms of options, the cheapest option is Wilwood, but since they only sell parts, not kits, I was worried about the warrenty of the parts. Plus I heard some bad things about the durability of the Wilwood (not sure if those concerns had much basis though).
