Ok, I have read the forums and seen the talks about H-Tech vs. S-Tech spings and all that, but my question is simple.

What spring setup will give me the ride as close to my oem sport setup and still gives me a 1" drop all the way around. The guys at my local shop are telling me that I need to get the coilovers or my G will ride like crap. Problem is that I dont have like $1200 to drop but I want to get rid of the wheel gap. Which manufactuer and setup should I go for?

Any Thoughts?

Thanks

New springs and shocks is what you need. I would suggest Eibach pro-kit springs (1.1" Front and 1.0" Rear) with Tokico DSP7 shocks. I believe the Eibach's are $160 and the Tokico can be found for $510 shipped from site sponsor CreativeAutomotive. With this setup, you obiously won't be able to adjust the ride height, but you can adjust the stiffness just like coilovers.

DO NOT buy Tein springs (either one) for the G35. Only buy the 350Z versions. Why, you ask? Search...

Just to support the anti Tein campaign, I have Teins and they are terrible springs. I HAD the Eibachs and they were excellent (on a different car).

Which ones did you have? Not the 350Z ones, right?

Heres the specs for the Eibachs. I couldnt find detailed specs on the H&R's, their drop is lower than the Eibachs by close to half an inch I believe.

Eibach G35 Coupe progressive springs 1.1”/1” drop on G35 coupe
Spring rates in LBS initial/final front 229/337 initial/final rear 274/463
F +7% R +35%

Here is the official published drop for the H&R, and I can confirm it is quite close to that as I did those myself:
1.1"/1"
They are progressive springs but they would not disclose the spring rates (this is a fact as many people have tried asking for their spring rates)
Though, they give a sportier, firmer, and bumpier ride.

So will Eibachs be a better ride? The drop looks exactly the same?

I was looking up springs. A couple sites showed the drop to be more than an inch on the rears with the H&R's. I dunno the validity of it so take it for what its worth. Haze has your settled all the way, have you done before and after measurements?

I just got these delivered and am having them installed tomorrow.

I will let ya know my impressions and I'll take pics to show the drop. I am not going to go too low as I am getting the KurumaZ bumper.

I bought them from Chris at F1 Motorsports for less $$ than on this site but here is info on them.
