there were a few review threads. the common consensus is that this upgrade matches or is even slightly worse than OEM. it's a cheap alternative to OEM, if you want larger rotors, but it's *not* a performance upgrade.

Thanks codeflux. I will have to get a BBK when my brake warranty is up.

If it is a cheap replacements...why do some of the grandam cup 350z's run them...the same ones you can buy for your car. mkmar10, try going to my350z.com and ask the same question since more 350z's get modded and tracked than g35's. Now I will always admit when I am wrong, but from my searching around and reading...the stoptechs are going on my car once my brembo rotors are shot.

I can't quote one grandam team name, but I read that their laps time improved with the oem replacement sized stoptech's and experienced less fade with the better cooling characteristics of the stoptech rotors. I know the car is a solid silver...but don't know the team.

Of course I see codeflex has stoptechs...but... I have read that some after market pads such as hawk hps have better fade resistance and dust less than factory pads, but do not have as much initial bite.

Formerly, Stage II kits came with Hawk HPS pads.

Now, stage II kits come with Axxis Ultimates which will dramatically change how the stage II kit performs. The difference is that the Axxis Ultimates will provie much more bite, and higher temp performance, but the pads will dust more than the Hawk HPS pads. The hawk HPS pads were used to create a stage kit because the Axxis Ultimates were not available for non-track z's at the time of creation.

dothemath is referring to the two piece rotors rotors that we have for the G35's and 350z's with the OE brembo brakes.

Why no love for the 05 G6mt and the 06 Z? No aftermarket pads or rotors with OE calipers are available.

If you want a nice OE Upgrade, then you should look towards this:

http://www.racingbrake.com/OE_calipe...kit_s/2872.htm

If you want to do a BBK but not pay an arm/leg for it, then look towards this:

As for stage II kits, you already answered the question . There aren't any pads to complete a stage I or stage II kit.

StopTech, are there any plans to come out with rotors for the 05 G?

How about rotors? What about stoptech releasing pads? Would the 13" stoptech kit work substantially better than my 12.76" OE's? I know that they won't fit my wheels.

Currently the two pads available are the Axxis D+ pads, and Hawk HPS. These are the lower dust lower noise pad solution from Axxis and Hawk. We are waiting to see if Axxis will create an ULT pad for the same pad shape.

Rotors for the 05 G35 are currently in processing but will be available shortly. Rotors are available in slotted or drilled. Please inquire with the G35driver sponsors who are also StopTech dealers in regards to pricing.
