I was interested in this as well. In theory, it should help, but how much??? It's a nice dress piece for the engine bay. I don't know how much more power loss you can prevent w/ this. Probably minimal.

I didn't even think about how more vibration will be transferred to the frame of the car. Isn't it dampered though? But still a valid concern IMO.

this is a useless item. it adds a lot of vibration and in-cabin noise, but does not do **** for performance. yeah, a nice dress-up item, but useless otherwise.

this was one of the first things I got for my g cuz it was cheap. It does cause more vibrations but I feel I have a little more cleaner shifts. But, it has come apart on me a couple of times, so I took some loc tite to it. Don't think it is necessary for everyday Gs.

I found it removed more vibrations from the shifter and really stopped the shifter from moving around during high RPM to low RPM.

It really seemed to settle down the movement of the motor and transmission. I noticed a immediate improvement.

A worth while mod with minimal vibration transfer and good damping properties. A bit of pain to install but with patience it will get done.

Highly recommended!

i dont think it reduces wear on the engine mounts....one of my good friends is a tech at the local nissan dealership and he works on my car all the time...so i asked him bout this stillen engine damper and he told me "you're a jacka ss if you get it"...lol...he said that its only for dressup and it will ruin the life of the engine mounts..he said that the people who designed the g and the z know what they are doing and mounted and dampened the engine the way it was supposed to be dampened and that it doesnt need any help from stillen...so i would probably stay away from it...but thats just the knowledge of a nissan tech....to each his own...

I'd say that's very accurate...
Then again there's ppl out there who insist VDC will kill them unless they turn it off...

I bought the dampner, installed it on my 06 G, as soon as i started the car i could feel the vibration and did not like that at all. I turned of the car and yanked the piece of sh*t out. I think its more usefull as a keychain or something.
