Angry Why does it take soo long???

i paid the down payment on a car they said they had...
after signing the paper i was told it would have to be located...

i'm like ok fine here's the down payment...
get a call next day for choice #2 color (which i did not want)...so i'm like look around...
get a call on day 4, found few matching, one was beat up w/1K miles, one had sattilite radio, and other had Aero... i didn't want aero so i'm like get the one w/ sattlite (which i would have to shell out for)..

so now it's day 8... they cashed my check already...but no G35

so why does it take so long to track a car or bring it in?? is there some paper work involved... is waiting the only solution??

Hey Shawn, are you buying it from Ray Caterna?? I had the same thing, they didnt have mine on hand at the time, and they needed to get it from the warehouse. It sure didnt take 8 days, took about 4 I think, but at least they got the one I wanted resonably quickly.

Its it a "down payment" or its an "deposit"? why would you sign anything if you have not even see the car yet? they know wheather they "found" one or not in the system right away, and they let you to believe they have one? it take this long because they can not locate one in-stock any where, and probably waiting for in-coming shipments, so I did say they defrauded you, I would ask for your money back soon as possible.

*edit, this is at Infiniti dearlership or some other "leasing/fleet sale" company?

Actually that makes sense. But they should of told you up front. I just had same situation, but they told me up front, mine took about a week for them to get it from Maine to me in New York.

I dunno i would by a car with out looking at it first. What if they shipped it from a far dealership and there's something wrong. Like a scratch or something. You can't say i want a different one. They are going to say well you going to have to wait another week. If you take it and they tell you to come back to the dealership and we'll get it fix...I dunno, new car and now i have to bring it in to get it fixed already? Sounds like its bad karma to begin with...my 2 cents

it's tough when the sales guy say they dont have the color and need to bring it in... and try to push u to pick one in stock...

i guess it's a risk one would have to take... but if there is sumthing wrong i dont mind ripping them up or get somthing for free
