I ended up leasing it...

How you guys doing? Im in Anaheim, CA and Im 24 years old. I wanted to know what you guys think of my move. I ended up leasing a 2006 Ivory Pearl G35 Coupe. It has the premium package, painted splash guards, aero package and trunk mat. Total price $38,140. I ended up taking for $35,500 with 10 miles on it. It is on a 39 month lease, I only put 1k down (Didnt want to put anything at first) and my payments are $535 monthly. I also talked them into giving me 15k miles instead of 12k. My risidual price will be $21,000. I didnt get ripped did I?

leasing isnt a waste of money. unless if you dont plan on buying the car out at the end of a lease. When you buy a car doenst mean your not losing money on it also.
As soon as u drive off in it u lost at least 1g

Lets see...560 for 60 mos and he lease it for 39 mos at 535, so you would've paid 12750 more to "own" your sedan, as of now most of the 03 sedan for sale on autotrader in my area are asking around 18~20k other 1 1/2~2 more year of depreciations, you'd be lucky to get 13k for you sedan...not to mention we dont know how much you put as down payment, and not knowing what was MSRP on your sedan but probably its lower than 38K? and they offer much better deals on the sedans so how can one compare your monthly payment for a sedan to the coupes and come to conclusion that you got better end of the deal?

As far as, if leasing is waste of money or not? there have been plenty of disscussion on here regarding it, there is no definite yes or no when comes to leasing, it will be up to each one's situation and how one's knowledgeable about leasing.

Sounds good. i debated doing the lease of the new car, but decided i wanted to own mine and get the only color i wanted. So i bought my CB instead.

But overall it sounds good you got the car you wanted and the lease doesnt sound too bad
