Hey Guys...I need some advice. I'm looking for a buyer for my '03 laser red G35 6MT sports coupe. Picked it up off the showroom floor. It has super low miles 24,400! Fully loaded you guys know...the nav, bose, brembos, all that. I also have some 19" mesh racing wheels and brand new tires. The front is a GReddy GRacer bumper and rear is replica Kenstyle. I also have a UTR roof spoiler. If I want to sale as is, what do you guys suggest my starting price should be? The car is in superb condition inside and out and has strictly been used as a weekend car.

Why you selling a car you just picked up?????? If it's so spectacular, why not keep it.

picked up off the showroom floor means he bought the car new when it first came out in 03! You'd be lucky to get stock prices with the bodykits you have. Laser red is sick and I have never seen a modded red g35...KEEP IT!

I hate to see it go and it really breaks my heart, but my pops pulled out the papers on it the other day and the car comes out to 51K! It's a great car and I love driving it, but it's honestly not a 50K car. Another thing...if I keep it I'm going to keep putting money into it and that's not the greatest investment at this point...I'm looking to buy a house. Buy the house then the nice car to go in the garage, not the other way around.

the house to car thing is exactly right...but you are not going to be happy with somethin much cheaper if you get a house. Your car should be about payed for so why sell it to buy somethin else. stop spending money on the car and get a house already...

You're right about not being happy with anything cheaper, and I mos def won't end up doing that, but to beat around in the paid off Altima for a year or 2 before picking up another car won't hurt. The car actually still has 23G's left on it

This is really hard for me and can't even decide on a price to put on it. Do you thinking askin for 27 or 28 will be too much? There's not a chance on God's green Earth that you'd find an '03 in this condition with as low miles as mine.

you wont sell it for 27k-28k that is just way too much for an 03. There are 04s fully loaded w/nav with the same or less miles than yours that are not even selling for 27-28k. you should expect to get somewhere around 23k for it private party.

Carmax it.
They offered me $20,000 for my 04 with 60k coupe, no navi.
It beats selling it on your own.

CarMax...That's probably not a bad idea...but it won't be a private party sale guys, it's going through the dealer. I just want to make some of the money back I put into it for the body and wheels. I already have an offer for 24K, I have a pretty good feeling he's going to be calling me sometime tomorrow and wanting to do some more negotiating. I suppose if I can get him to meet me @ 26 I should jump on it.

I agree that you should jump at $26K, but think of what kind of car you can get for $26K. You are in Toyota Camry territory and if you put $10K of that money toward a house, you are now in Toyota Corolla territory.

I don't think you've read the thread the whole way through. I'm not interested in selling the G and buying another car. I'm ok with driving the altima and kia I have for a year even 2 years before I think about getting another 40, 50, or 60K car. I think everybody here would have to agree that a car is not an investment and never will be. I don't find any shame in driving a car that's under 20K in order to get to where I wanna be at in the near future (homeowner).

Yes, I still owe 23 grand on the G, and I have a paid off Altima, Kia, & '04 Tahoe...where exactly did you read that the altima was "beat up"?

Just a shot in the dark here, but you're in your 20s and the thought of buying a house has never even crossed your mind...?
