Buying help apreciated
k so here goes, im not so new to buying G35's i guess but i am new to deciding on the 5AT or 6MT when it comes to picking an 03 sedan. I bought a martime blue 03 sedan last fall but decided that i didnt like the tan leather interior and wanted black instead, fortunately my father was in love with this car and sold his 330i and bought it off of me. so now the search is on again for a G Sedan. Im hearing all sorts of different thing sto watch out for in the 03's that i wasnt aware of when i bought the Blue one last year so im hoping someone can walkme through this. at present i have 3 cars on my short list locally, all three are OB Sedans, 2 are 6MT cars, on eis a 5AT, the first 6MT one has 60k miles on it and is still under warranty and is a private sale, its a little pricey at 22500$ but comes with aftermarket 18's and winters son stock aero wheels, the second one has 71k miles on it and is no longer under factory warranty although it had the clutch replaced under warranty because of slippage issues with the previous owner at 66K. (this car is on a well known local used car lot that deals only in infiniti's, lexus, BMW and porsche etc and comes with a 2 yr warranty for roughly 17600$ USD (18900$ Cdn), the third car is a 5At car with 68k miles on it and they are asking 15800$USD with a 2 year extended warranty (not from infiniti), so given these options and based on any good or bad news for 03's what are my best options? i would prefer to buy a 6spd car but for some reason up here in canada the liek to sell em for more than the autos but trade them for far less. go figure, I will be using this car as a daily commuter car and to transport my kids etc. and maybe lightly modding it but nothing more than a light drop, 18's, intake exhaust and other little things (blacking out all chrome).
any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance!

hmmm... tough call there....all 3 cars have way too much mileage for my liking ... but if the purpose is going to be to use it as a commuter car then I would ask you how the traffic conditions are on your commute?
If its stop and go ... then I would rule out the 6MTs and go with the 5AT, plus with cars out of factory warranty.... i would play it safe and choose the extended warranty option... which again takes my vote to the 5AT.
I have a 5AT G35 coupe... and I might be baised towards it ... but in all fairness I also have the civic coupe manual.... and i have gotten over the whole manual 'fun'...

Finally found one!
So i finally bought a G35, its an 03' 5AT OB Premium sedan with a spoiler . Car has 60k Miles on it. the car was bought from another city 5 hours away through a Nissan dealer in that city and came with every dealer record of any work performed on the car. they were asking the equiv of 17300$ USD but i got it for around 14900$ and convinced them to refiniseh teh front and rear bumpers as well as the rear wing. all in all im pretty happy with the car, Runs great. Glad i went with the auto, first time i hit traffic i was thanking god i didnt go with the M6, i know i would have loved it til the first time i got caught in the rat race.

Car came with an aftermarket Power train warranty which im content with although im not the least bit concerned with the validity of the VQ. however the dealer records did show that the AC compressor was replaced at 48000 miles which i am a lil concerned with. as well the tensioner seems to like to randomly make noise (albeit very slight), other than this heres to many years of happy driving in a great car
