For any following this thread just wanted to post back that its a legit deal, but an open ended lease. thats a big but and will rule it out for most, if not all.

Some additional clarification:

An open ended lease means that you are responsible for the depreciation of the car at the END of the lease.

If you paid 10k over the payments, and the car depreciated 15k, you now owe 5k. In one lump sum.

They always find a way to get you. I wonder if they would have informed and described exactly what that means to an unsuspecting buyer.

I bet not.

That's a big nut on the backend. If it looks too good to be true.........

Wink

That is one of those deals where they ask you “If you would like Fries with your @$$ whooping?”. Stay away, Far, Far, away from that deal!

The other question is how do they determine what the vehicle is worth at the end of the lease? Is it the trade in value in excellent condition(NOT!) or the wholesale value that they come up with! My guess is that it is the wholesale value and I bet it is about 8-10% less than what you would expect.

Here is an example of how a G35 depreciates over its life! This is the KBB value of my 05 G35 Sedan with Premium, Sport, and Aero packages. Note: that the residual on my 39 month lease is $ 21,411.10 in August of this year. I still have 6 months left on the lease and it is worth WAAAAYY less than the residual already! In August I will be able to hand Infiniti their car back and say “Would you like Fries with your @$$ whopping?”.
