Originally, I was thinking of getting a G37 6MT as I've always absolutely loved the G coupes. But, after some research and finding that the G35 6MT sedan is just as fast, almost as sexy, and quite a bit cheaper. My neighbor just bought a 08 G35x, which I drove for a few minutes and was _very_ impressed.

So, a new G35 would be nice, but it'd cost ~$35k or so. Pretty expensive for someone just coming out of college, I know. Not that I couldn't afford it, as I'll be rent-free (ftw) for a year or two and my expenses will be pretty minimal. I'm just not sure if I want to put away that much of my money to a new car.

Another thing I'm thinking is trying to find a used G35 coupe, ideally '05 or newer. In looking a bit it seems finding 6MT's around here (New Hampshire) will be pretty tough. Plus, in what I'm finding, a this'll cost me $25k-$30k. That upper range is only slightly less expensive than a 08 G35.

Also, one thing I was wondering - is there any chance of getting an 07 G35 sedan (new or used, I don't care) for a bit less than an 08?

Bleh. I'm so undecided and have about 50 million ideas running through my head at all times.

Any thoughts, advice, comments, etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks all!
And I thought I was the only one feeling the same way lol wat'z up good luck on searching for your G 2b

If you guys can help me out also i've been fascinated with the g coupes since they came out and will finally be able to get one this will be my second car first was a 95ford contour completely totaled not my fault I'm in the Southern Cali area and as most of you know these things go fast once there up for sale. I'm guessing i'll go with an 03-04 model i've seen quite a few for no more than 15k and i'll be putting down like 4 or 5k the thing is I want a g37convertible and think my dad is going 2 buy it for my 21st next June. But as of now i'm driving a 97 altima and it's going collapse any time soon, i should of took better care of it, it just hit the 85K mark, but I really want my own car should I wait until june or just go ahead and buy my own g.

Heh, forgot about this thread. Figured I'll provide an update.

After a lot of thinking, I realized that a G35 Sedan wouldn't be "fun" enough. A G37 was tempting but the pricetag was not. That, and I couldn't stomach the gas mileage.

I did a lot of thinking and rethinking and research. In the end, I ended up deciding against an Infiniti. In mid July I went in and ordered.............

A 2009 John Cooper Works MINI. They're really a blast to drive and the price and gas mileage was more what I was looking for. Production is complete and it's on the boat on its way to the US.

Anyways, the G35Driver forum was very helpful in my research, and I wanted to thank everyone. I'm not ruling out buying a G in the future, but it won't be until the MINI dies, most likely.
