$18,700K for 2005 G Coupe?

$18,500K + 200K Fee + $600K sales tax = $19,300K total

2005 G35 coupe, 35K miles, 1 owner, personal car not leased, clean car. The car has bose and some other options, but does not have spoiler/full sports package.

The dealer only lowered $300 on the price. He won't take off that stinking $200 Document Fee.

Is this a good deal or should I "haggle" him more.

BLUE BOOK:
Trade In = 15,800K
Private Party = $17,900K
Retail = $21,450K

I would say it's a little too much.

But would depend on the area.

18 million dollars is a bit expensive for a G isn't it?

If he won't get rid of a doc fee, let him have it...

Then ask him to take 200 bucks off the price of the car. Honestly, I think $18.5k is a little to much. What was your initial offer on the car? (Assuming you've been working on the price with him)

If you are paying CA$$$$$H for it then yes haggle and try to get it cheaper. If you are getting a loan for the car then i wouldn't waste my time trying to haggle the guy for a couple of hundred bucks.

He had the car listed for $18,800 and I told him to give me $18,500 out of the door and settled for $18,700. I am paying cash.

This is the cheapest clean car I have found on cars.com, autotrader.com close to Virginia. Anyone seen better ones?

I've been shopping heavily for an 05 or 06' - that price is heavy.

The dealer has agreed to $18,500 out of the door.

Can you tell me what kind of deals you have seen on 05/06 coupes?

So that's like $17.8k before taxes and fees, right? That's not bad. Not great IMO, but not a rip.

My selection here in CA (northern and southern) is copious. Maybe that plays into it. Plus I'm being picky on the interior/exterior color and need a 6MT.

Here is one I've talked to a dealer about: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...4&aff=national

They said $16.5k over the phone without me even being there, so there is probably a little more squeeze if/when I show up with the cash. Higher mileage than yours, but also about $2k less. My targets are approximately as follows given equal options and fair mileage:

2005: $17k
2006: $18.5k
2007: $20k

On another note, there are some great incentives in buying a new G37, which is also attractive, if you can swing it.
