Given the current going prices at dealerships for '06 (~$20k) and '07 G35x's (~$27k) what do you think about the cost/benefit between the two?

I've driven both and they feel very similar. The '07 feels like it has more of a growl in the high end, more power off the line, and the interior is certainly nicer. I'm having trouble deciding if roughly $7k is going to be worth the benefits (but I'm leaning toward '07 )

If you can get a second generation G35X's for between 20 and 27 do it.

How many miles? 5at or 6mt? Are you buying it through a dealer? Is it a certified pre owned? Etc.

I'm looking for a 5AT G35x used / pre-owned with miles under 30k Black or Pearl and for all of the '07's I've found the dealer won't go below $27k. There aren't many in my area so I don't have a whole lot to work with but the few dealers I've spoken with stated that they had to pay "top dollar" to get the car (of course).

If I could pick up an '07 with some kind of warranty for $24 - $25k I'd do it right now but the issue is that I can't find one for that price unless its from a no-warranty wholesaler or the like. That's why I want to hear what you all think of the cost / benefit.

I would not buy a used car these days without a good dealer warranty unless you are going crazy with mods.

Those are my thoughts exactly and I don't intend on doing much modding so I'll make use of the warranty I'm sure.

i am selling my 2008 g35xs - 5sp at w/premium and sport package. i'm the original owner and the car has been meticulously cared for and garaged. it only has 5500 miles and is under full fact wrty thru 7/30/2011. it's plat grey/black interior. i live on long island. any interest?

Thanks but I'm definitely looking to stick with either IP or Black exterior and I would imagine an '08 X with prem and sport would run me more than the $25,000 I'm looking to spend.

although i'm flexible on the price, it would certainly have to be the right color for you. i think my bottom line of $27k is very fair given that the msrp was over $39k. if you were interested i can guarantee that you would not be disappointed with the car in any way. good luck in your search!

I found a Black '07 with 20k miles and they want $27k for it. I'm going to take a look on Saturday. It really seems like the Black and IP G's cost $1k more than the other colors for whatever reason...
