How long did it take you to find your 6MT?

Just curious how long it took some of you guys to find your 6MT's. I have been looking for one for a few weeks now and haven't had much luck at all. There's only about 10 total (06 or newer) listed in my area on Autotrader right now.

I looked for 6 months, gave up and bought an AT. Figured since it's my daily driver I should just go with automatic.

I'll wait till I have a weekend car to buy standard. (370 )

Close to a year, but that's just because I am picky and other factors were involved. I found the experience stressful, but I must say I learned a lot about the buying process.
Good luck with your search.

6 months. Drove 500 miles to chicago and then back in the same day. I'll never forget the trip, well worth it.

About a good month. But I'm glad I took my time. Most of the 6MT's for sale were way over mileage or too far for me to go pick up. I ended up finding one in SoCal in pristine condition from a private party. Keep searching, they're popping up everywhere. I was scanning Craigslist, Autotrader, and Cars.com on a daily basis. Good luck!

Six months is crazy. I'm hoping to find something within the next month so I don't have to extended my loan approval. I would love to find one in Lakeshore Blue, but it seems like that is going to be a needle in a haystack. I probably would go a few hundred miles out of my way if I found one though. Hey SiouxFalls, what did you do with your old car when you drove out to pick up your new one?

Found it the same day my Maxima sputtered out on me. But there were only 2 6mt's, and one was already sold.

Took me about 8 months. Had better luck using dealership websites then autotrader. Plus if you give them your number they can call you when they get one. You just have to deal with their b/s.
