Exclamation HELP: Which 2005 G35 Coupe should I get? (links inside)

Thanks for all the replies in my previous threads but both of those cars have been sold before I could make an offer

I've now narrowed down my search to the following two cars:

(1) 2005 WHITE Infiniti G35 Coupe (43,000 miles)
Price: $21,900 (negotiated down to 21 flat but trying to go down further)
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

(2) 2005 WHITE Infiniti G35 Coupe (51,000 miles)
Price: $17,790 (non-negotiable)
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

Is 51K miles too much for a used G35 Coupe? Also, I'll have to verify whether or not #1 is the Sports Coupe (with suspension) or if it's just the base model with a spoiler and 19" rims. #2 is just the base model with a spoiler...

I was thinking the same, although it'd be closer to $3200 as the seller is willing to sell for $21,000. Also, if #1 is the Sports Coupe (with suspension) would it be worth it to pay more? It also has about 8K less mileage.

I'm thinking about having #2 (17,790) inspected by an Infiniti Dealership and if it looks good I'll get that. Then I'll try to purchase some 19" OEM wheels & tires for it from a seller on this forum.

What do you think?

Just did a quick search and you should be able to get an 06 with less mileage than those for cheaper. where are you located?

Also if you plan on staying on this forum and you have a little extra cash, you WILL end up modding your car, including new suspension and wheels so the 19's shouldnt be a huge deciding factor

Hey! I'm in South Jersey (ZIP: 08080). I'd love to get a 2006 with low mileage. I prefer either black or white. I've been searching for the past month or so and all the low mileage 2006's were in the mid to high twenties

For the money difference just get #2 and buy the rims, they are like 500-700 for used and you could get coilovers or springs with the rest of the money

I agree. However, there pricing is very sneaky. I just realized it says, "Price includes all charges to be paid by customer except for tax, tags, title, document fee, detailing, reconditioning, and etch. price reflects 1000 cash or trade equity.

So it's actually 18,790 + detailing, reconditioning, and etching fees? Hmmm...

Id recommend you search more. Those dont seem to be that great of a deal. You can get newer with less miles. Just gotta expand your search area and be willing to travel a bit to pick one up.

Check www.cars.com as well as what you're already using.

Neither of these are great deals. Keep on searching. I don't know if you drive stick, but you should really consider one. 1. They're much more fun to drive. 2. It'll be easier to sell when you do because they're not as common as autos and people desire 6MT G's anyway.

How are you searching? on autotrader searching for 200 miles within 08080, 06+, less than 45k miles and under $22k, black or white, it turned up 7 coupes.

3 of the top
1)http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
Mainly cuz I'm biased towards Black

2)http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
White with NAV

3) http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
White with lowest mileage (27k)

Do more searches, wait it out a little longer, it'll be worth it later

Hi lniivedl,

Thanks for the help!

As for your hits, I've come across those cars as well in my search.

#1 (black) - This seemed VERY enticing, however, after googling the VIN of the car, I found a report stating the car had over 100,000 miles! Very shady to me.

EDIT: http://www.autocheck.com/?utm_medium...CV54E76M703662

#2 (with navigation) Believe me, I thought this was too good to be true when I saw the ad. I immediately called the dealership only to find out it was SOLD but they tried to switch me to some other car with 60K miles on it

#3 I clicked it but it looks like it's already been sold.

I suppose I'll keep looking. Thanks for all your help. By the way, since you prefer black better, what do you think of this one?

I went and test drove it, it's beautiful and in excellent condition. Seller won't go below the sticker price though I offered 21 flat and he wouldn't budge at all.
