2004 G35x vs Mustang GT

So.. I've been on the fence about selling my 2006 Mustang GT... It only has 26k miles on it and is in flawless condition. But I wanted to get a more practical car with four doors and something with better fuel economy and snow friendly. Well.. friendlier I suppose.

Anywho, I found a 2004 G35x in twilight blue with 49k miles and in decent condition. It's not flawless as it does have some cosmetic defects, but a good detail can fix that. The owner is asking 12500 for it..

Do you guys think I'll get better fuel economy with this car or think its well worth it? I'd pick up a TSX but they're somewhat hard to find.

My Mustang gets as high as mid 20's on straight highway and high teens in the city... I've heard that the g eats gas... but more than a V8?

Seriously 9-12mpg? That's... just ridiculous. Am I looking into the wrong car?

It depends how you drive. I get like 14 in the city and 24 on the highway. Our cars are not exactly a gas saver like a corolla.

Like everyone says, it all depends on how you drive and what you have done/planning on doing to your car. For example I do a lot of highway driving so I probably get around 24mpg and 19mpg for city. My average is 21-23mpg filling up every 340-380 miles depending on how much city driving I do. Anyways my car is a 05 with slightly more ponies than a 04x so it varies.

Now that you got the mpg info its all on you to decide what you want. Good luck with what you choose!

Fuel economy shouldn't be noticeably different, plus it'll be just as much fun in the "go fast" department :-)

My friend's GT doesn't get any better mileage than I get in my G
