As many of you know I have been looking to get into a g35 for a while now.

Well I have found one that is about 500 miles away from me and am wondering if you guys think it is a pretty good deal.

Here are the specs:

2004 G35 Sedan 6mt, Diamond Graphite with black interior. Does have Navi

96,000 miles.
Looks to have newer tires

The car looks very clean from what I can tell no big dings dents scratches. Interior looks very clean

I have not heard the car run or have driven it so I don't know what it drives/runs like.

It is a 1 owner car with no accident history according to car-fax.

They are asking 11998 for the car. Seems a bit much to me, what do you guys think is a fair price?

 

6mt sedans are hard to come by, plus navi usually adds some extra value, so I think the price is not too far off. There might be some room for negotiation, but if the seller knows that 6mt sedans only speak to certain prospects then you might have a hard time to get it lower.... instead you might want to let the market decide for you, meaning that let the seller lower the price due to lack of interests. But keep in mind that there might be someone out there looking for the exact car and willing to pay a premium to get it.

When it comes to used car shopping you really have to see and test drive the car in person to judge the car's cosmetic and mechanical condition. Pictures and videos just don't do the justice. There are lots of things carfax don't reveal. Is the seller private party or dealership? Ask for the service records specifically in engine valve cover and 6mt transmission replacement. If they don't then ask for the VIN number and call any Infiniti dealership to find out what services/TSBs/recalls done to it.

Yea, did you ever get a call back from the dealer about it? We gotta drive out and get it lol.

The car is at a dealer. They ran a carfax and an autocheck and both say the same thing. 1 owner no accident car.

They said they would take 11k for it.

I know pictures and videos don't do justice and I know that but it sure beats driving 600 miles to go look at a car you haven't seen close up pictures of wouldn't it. From the pictures it looks like a very nice, well kept car. That is all I was saying.

I am also going in tomorrow to get the service records to see if there in fact are some available and recorded.

 

Haha yeah what can you do. I was going to change the title after I posted it but I soon found out you can't do that on this forum

 

One more thing about high mileage 6mt is the clutch and flywheel. It might still be on the original ones and need to be replaced soon. Sure there are some people getting 120k miles and still going strong, but tell you the truth I'm counting the days after mine hit 90k. I assume you know this and are ready for it. Just remember to add this to your inquiries on the service records.
