Carfax vs. Autocheck

Hi I'm looking at buying a particular g35. What's the best method of checking the history of the vehicle carfax or autocheck?

Thanks!

i read an article on this and supposedly autocheck is better but u really never will know. if the person took their car to get it repaired at a buddies shop it may never have a paper trail. i usually take my cars to an independent shop of my choosing and get a 100point check or something similar

i am a prime example of how carfax, autocheck, etc. is not always accurate or up-to-date, seeing that i am currently dealing with a situation where frame damage was reported on my 05 6MT DG Coupe 3 years ago, and it just showed up on carfax two weeks ago. I have had the car for about 16 months now, and was trying to recently trade it in for something bigger. To find this out and the dealership taking half of the trade in value off. When i purchased the vehicle, all records were clean. So, now I am trying to find out how to deal with the situation.

I am currently working with carfax, but their gurantee is only for a year (i'm at 16 months) and you have to individually register your car for it. Even if the dealerships or whosoever gives you a carfax report, you have to go register your vehicle for the buy back guarantee and if im not mistaking you have to purchase your own carfax report. For my situation, supposedly the business, auction, or body shop that reported it, just started reporting to carfax a few weeks ago. So, they actually go back and look at their vehicle inventory history and update their vehicle database based off that information as well.

the carfax report states the same thing, it shows it in order of events, but it states that this information just started getting reported a few weeks ago.....and i talked to 2nd owner and he said all the records were clear before he even purchased the car, and if im not mistaking that was carfax, autocheck, and ncib....
