06-07 G35 6MT has the rev hard. It puts out more HP but less torque.

you can tell by looking at the front of the engine right below the covers. the revup and the regular vq have different covers for the variable valve timing since the revup adjusts both intake and exhaust while the regullar only does intake

Rev-up: 2005-2006 G35 Sedan 6mt Manual & 2005-2007 G35 Coupe 6mt Manual

Rev-up cluster

NON REV UP

REV UP ENGINE

NON REV UP ENGINE

Also if you oil happens to be low and disappearing all the time then you can thank Nissan for the Rev-up motor.

Rev-up cluster

So...I have this cluster...mines is an 06 6MT , but I dont have the RAS symbol light up like that...I have VDC on my lower left side console that I can switch off??

Sorry for the newbie questions, kinda new to this car..

I thought Rev-up or High-Rev motors were different as they had two intake tracks???

RAS is Rear Active Steering, its not available on all cars. The HR motors have dual intakes. Both the rev-up and non-revup have a single.

Ok! I think I am pretty sure which motor I have now,...rev-up is wat I got. Now I can better pick and choose mods without any issues, cuz previously idk which motor I had...lol!

Thanks man!

Lol @ all the AT guys hoping for a rev up.

Tbh even if an auto had a revup it would be just as fast if not slower than a properly driven 6MT DE.
