Impossible to find a G35! :(

I've been on the hunt for a black G35 '03-06 black or white with no spoiler for quite a while now.
I live in Toronto and have looked everywhere, all the possible sites (kijiji, craigslist, autotrader, autocatch, etc.) I even tried looking into some american sites and possibly import if I find a good deal but nothing. Absolutely nothing. It feels as if the car does not exist and I'll never be able to find one that fits my standards, which are not exactly up for compromise. I also asked my dad to ask his dealer buddies to check at auctions and so far there has been nothing.

I am really getting hopeless here. If anyone knows of someone selling please let me know, it will be much appreciated. My budget is at $10k by the way (kilometres don't bother me too much)

What's hurting you is your preferences and budget. A coupe for 10,000 in decent condition (Aesthetically and mechanically) is not easiest to find. Then on top of that when you only want black or white, and only without a spoiler, it's a little harder to find. Don't buy something you'll regret though, wait for the right car.

I can't remember the last time I saw a white coupe. I think black is more common.

Here's one that seems reasonable: $9800

Or this one for $10,500

Here's a clean white coupe

These are all here in the states, so I'm not sure what it would cost you to ship/register one in Canada.

Doesn't it seem odd the both of the G35s listed above don't show a pic of the engine? Clean inside and out but what does the car look like under the hood, filthy or spotless this could be a deciding factor if someone buys their G or not. I don't like the fact that the OB coupe pic was taken in a dirt field, is this where it's spent it's life? Boneyard rebuild?

I'd say up your budget or lower your expectations.

I wouldn't sell my '04 black, wingless for less than $14k...assuming I wanted to sell it. $10k is a joke.

Wait a few more years for additional depreciation, or find one with 300,000 km on it. Best wishes.

I bought my '04 OB Couple last year for 13.3k and I personally thought I got a hell of a deal on it. It might have a spoiler on it, but it had ben adult owned all its life and the car was maintained very well.

I think you're budget probably needs to be increased by a few grand at the least, or start waiting a little bit longer for more depreciation. Whatever you do don't rush into one just because it has the right price. I looked for months before I settled on the one I have now, and I really enjoy it.

10 grand....If thats your top dollar, you need to look into salvage, it will be really hard to find a working G for that price...well at least one that is not in need of thousands of body works....Im sure if you could get another 5 grand, you could make things happen

Man O man....Honestly, your best option is to just be more open. I was just like you for the past 4 1/2 months and it was just a huge waist of time.
I was dead set on getting a black/black 6mt w/ spoiler for less for $11,000. Never found it. I did find some but they were $15,000+
I decided to just be open and not really care about color or what it comes with and just modify it to what I'd like when I got it. I finally found a diamond graphite 6mt with 90k miles for $11,500 and ill hopefully be picking it up this friday.
Good luck man

Yeah honestly I'm willing to resort to the dark-grey (I think it's diamond graphite) and there's some for the price range I'm looking for. I'll look into those, thanks guys.

Btw, to the person that said I need to up my price range, I disagree with you. There's a lot of people selling the '03 or '04 for $9-10k in my area, it's just that I'm too picky for my own good.

$10K just won't get you a high mileage, but mechanically sound G35 coupe. In the used market, $10K is just the value most people put on their used camry, civic, accord so putting a G coupe in with that pool will get sold really fast. I'd raise the budget to around $15K, sedans can usually be had for a little cheaper.

I got an 07 G35, black with no spoiler, 6 speed manual, and 55,000 miles on it. I was offered $18,500 from a local dealer that chased me down in a parking lot...If they are willing to pay that it tells me that they have no intention of selling a G for as cheap as you are looking. I hate to disagree with you, but I doubt you will find what you are looking for in that range. If you do find one though shoot me an email, because Im gonna hunt that dealership down and buy a couple of cars.

lol on being a cheapskate. Cars are typically more expensive in Canada then US due and not because of the exchange rate. In the US you would get a crap and beat up G35 coupe for $10k and what the heck do you expect in Canada for the same budget. I recommend a Corolla for you and one in the $10k range will be reliable. Actually do me a favor and pick up the '03 or '04 for $9-10k in your area but please to god don't post up about issues and the new found gremlins from the $10k sale. You will save money upfront on the $10k purchase but budget in $3k for repairs and maintenance due to neglect. Also at 10k you take what you can get and not be picky. Beggars can't be choosers.

I got my 03.5 black coupe not too long ago. It ran me about 15k out the door, but it only had 60k miles on it and every option possible, even the engine bay doesn't have a spec of dirt in it.

When I was first looking for one, I too was only looking to spend around 10k...but to find one in decent condition for that price is practically impossible. You're either looking at really high mileage, poorly modded, or ones with tore up interiors.

I would spend more money to get a nice one, or look for a different car
