new guy looking for advice

So I have been looking for a new (used) ride to replace the vehicle I am driving now, which comes off of lease in 2 months. I wanted to get something I can pay cash for, and something fun/semi lux to drive that wouldn't be a massive change (currently driving a bmw 335d, yea its diesel but it pulls hard as hell)

I have found a 1 owner 2004 G35 with leather, bose, dual climate, and moonroof, but have a few reservations.

The car has 189k miles on it, BUT the guy that owned it took it to the dealer for all service, and carfax shows the maintenance performed every 5k miles. There was also a slight infraction with a guard rail causing minor damage to the drivers quarterpanel (carfax lists it as minor to moderate damage). The car looks IMMACULATE, but the high miles and light wreck make me wonder....

It does look 10x better than the other cars I have seen in that price range (7500 bucks). What do you experts think, should I puff or pass?

yea that's what I am afraid of, though talking with a friend of mine who loves infinities, he seemed to not be that worried about the miles since the maintenance was performed regularly.

Its just that the car looks sooo much better than the ones around here with 100k miles at that price, making me nuts.

I tried looking for issues with the g35, other than the oil leak, I didn't see much, and I like the G35 better than the other cars in the price range I am looking at (is300, maxima, civic si, acura TL, etc). I am looking for something fun, with a backseat just in case I need to pick up my daughters from school or something, but my wife mainly handles that.

hehe nice ride! But you did choose your G35 over it! My mind keeps flip flopping...."man that's a sweet g35 in amazing shape" and then "holy hell that's a lot of miles", back and forth, back and forth...

ironically while I was on my way to work, some crazy dude drove his G35 (pearl white color too..) fight up into the median right where I work lol, couldn't help thinking what he wanted for it after that lol
