I sell cars for a living. Last 11 years. Fair price on that would be $16000 ish depending on work they did. Ask them for a report on how much the dealer did during inspection

Price does seem a bit high, when I was looking around for a G coupe a couple months ago I noticed Carmax was the most overpriced car lot / dealership place when it came to G's. Even a local Mercedes Benz dealer had a low mileage G coupe priced a couple grand lower than Carmax's high mileage selection.

If you can't get them to come down...keep shopping! If my '04 coupe (SLICK) were for sale that would be my bottom price, she has 10K less miles on her clock...Gary

What I'd do is search up the KBB Value of the car which I just did http://www.kbb.com/infiniti/g/2007-i...icetype=retail (This is with no added options tho) and try to get the fair purchase price for it. If they don't budge then what Gary said The right G will come your way. I looked at and test drove 3 coupes until I found the perfect priced one for me.

That's ^ very low mileage for an '07, make damn sure you get a clear CARFAX along with having a qualified mechanic check it out top to bottom! Good Luck, hope it works out!

price is too high. Carmax is a place where they like to take in trades and give you a higher dollar amount and it offsets their high price vehicles. It makes you think "o **** I got that much for my trade in" yea lets do the deal.
It has the sport package wheels but not the fascia ( i know its an automatic and the wheels can be an option). It doesn't have sunroof but does it have bluetooth or bose? If I were you I would will look into it closer ( car can get in accidents but doesn't report it) but honestly keep looking.

Priced too high, walk away.

I paid $16,900 for my 2006 6MT fully loaded w/ nav, sport, etc, 59k miles, 3 YEARS ago.

Carmax is hit or miss. Their sweet spot for deals seems to be cars about 3-4 years old.

If its an option for you look at cars out of state. 9 times out of 10 I find cheaper cars in states that border mine.

Hmmmm buying a car with a guaranteed title or not.... I know would like the peace of mind of a guaranteed title... I am pretty sure Carmax guarantees all of their cars... I know if I was going to buy a car and mod it, I sure would like it to be a clean, un-molested car...

Their guarantee and 5 star inspections means nothing. I went to test a G37 and had my G appraised for 12k trade in.(should have took it) They gave it a drive and a once over and missed all the imperfections. You also would have got nibbled by oil consumption However I can't be sure they would have inspected it further before putting on their yard or auctioning it. But a car like the G to a normal dealer is a jewel and all the common but not normal things with them are overlooked, especially if it isnt a Nissan or Infiniti dealer. I looked at a nice G at carmax before that was priced at 17k with 78k. It was in great condition with a Stillen exhaust on it, and I pondered about it but decided it was too much to spend on a car that was possibly beat or a lemon, include tax, and again the first fact that it was over priced.
