Help: 2004 Coupe with 122k worth 10,500?
Help: 2004 Coupe with 122k worth 10,500?
I'm looking at this vehicle. I've owned several Z's in my life. Got the bug again and like the infinity.
The car has every option except navigation. 4 new tires. New brake pads and all rotors were turned.
Clean exterior. Clean interior with only a small tear in tje left lower driver seat. Clean carfax. 2 owner. No previous mods etc and the transmission and engine feels strong.
Going to finance 7k. Any concerns or worries? Seems to be a fair deal comparing cars that I've looked at over the last month.

Yeah, they're actually very good at seeming normal even with popped lower control arm bushings, torn compression rod bushings and leaky steering knuckle ball joints. None of them are that big of a deal to fix, but I like having negotiating points. Also, the bushings issues will keep you from being able to align it.
The only reason I mention is cuz its not just a likelihood that they're done, its almost a definite. It happens to all these cars, unless he's already fixed it, which very well could be the case.

K. I've got them as low as they will go. The front bumper needed to be replaced and they also did the new tires, brakes and rotors etc.

No, not worth 10k..... not even worth 9k. That has way to much miles on it
I paid 9k for a 03 coupe with full package, 90k miles, always serviced properly, bilstein coilovers, 06-07 projectors, stillen sways.. go on craigslist or your local g group.. always some good deals around there

122k is alot of miles.. lol.......
First of all your region. Maybe no one wants a G where you're from and the lot wanted to get rid of it.
Second: yours is a year older, and does it have all options like he said his does?
Third: aftermarket parts can easily make a cars value go down on a lot. Car lots sell Infinitis, or Fords, or Mercedes. They don't sell "Frankies custom hot rod" which may or may not have shoddy work done to it.
So, just for fun I looked up a fair market value at kbb.com on my car (2004, all options, 123k miles) and guess what? Fair market avg was $10,200. And retail (car lot) was actually above that at $10,820. So there ya go. It is a fair price.
Well, I'm very happy for you, but a lot goes into the price of a car other than what YOU would pay for it.

06-07 projectors will make the price go down LOL?!?!?!?!!?!?!?
Im guessing you cant read because I clearly said I have the full package on my car, 2004 and 2003 is the same exact car... if it was 06+ i would say that argument would be debateable because of the different spoiler + lights but definitely not 03-04.
Im sure anyone would want bilstein coilovers over stock suspension.
When it comes down to it, paying almost 11k for a 10 year old car is stupid. ESPECIALLY for a car with 122k miles.
Wow. Clearly you don't understand how markets work.
You are stating your OPINION. We are not talking about mod queens selling cars. Lolololololo
We're talking about a business. Lololololol
A business that does infact devalue a car that has been modded. I know cuz I asked if I could trade my rims for another Gs on the lot and they said absolutely not even tho mine are worth more. Lololololololo
And its funny how YOU have not accepted that kbb is the standard of car value, cuz the rest of the world seems to agree on their system. Lolololololol
So, go buy as many low priced, low mileage Gs you want, your opinion doesn't change the market. Lololololol
