Whats my car worth?

No it is not presently for sale, I am planning to get a G37 Coupe or a 3.8 Genesis Coupe, trying to figure what my car is worth to offset the new purchase and figure the forum is a better gauge than KBB, NADA, etc.

2006 G35x Sedan - 75,000 miles
Twilight Blue/Wheat/wood accents, almost legal window tint
Every option including Nav, no mods
Never in an accident, few (4-5) small parking lot nicks, no dents
Adult owned and driven (purchased by me from an adult with 35,000 miles)
Well maintained with records (coolant change, Tranny drain/fill, recent brakes all around, etc)
Updated Nav CD, winter & Summer mats, original books, both keys

The forum is not a better gauge.
The people who will buy your car will use KBB to see if the asking price is where it should be.

Perhaps true, but curious what the experts think.

No one here is an expert, we just pretend to be.

Check KBB and NADA. Then take the lowest and subtract about 10-15%. That is what you will get.
Also go to your local carfax, they use Manheim to see what the last 50 or so cars similar to yours sold for at auction within a month. That is what you will be offered.

It's worth what someone is willing to pay. Basically look at Craigslist because that's what most people are gauging worth. Or use KBB trade in value if you want to know what you expect to receive as an offer for trade in. But there are many other variables.

yea, true story above. Honestly between blue book and what someone will pay will suffice as long as the car is top notch.

In my particular area, I go to CarMax and get an appraisal. Then I add $3500 on top of the price to estimate the price that dealers will sell the car for.

When I try to sell privately, I try to get $1500-$2000 on top of the CarMax appraisal. Sometimes, I am able to get more (if the right buyer comes along).
