I just went out on the road for the first time in a while and was thrilled to get 25.3 running 9 mph over (64-79 depending, mostly 74) on a 250 mile ride (500 round trip). I live 1.5 miles from work and during the week putt-putting from home to office, I get about 13.5 - 15. I found a different route that takes about 2.5 miles so I can at least get it up to operating temperature. On weekends, I find excuses to exercise it to blow out the crud.

But I knew all this when I bought it. I bought it for fun. It still gets better mileage than the 3 baby bouncy pick-em-up Nissan trucks I had for 15 years prior. Turns out about even when considering the price of premium fuel.

 

I ONCE got 27-28 MPG on a trip from Long Beach to Santa Barbara. Keep in mind I was going about 58/65 the whole way home because of traffic. Horrible experience. I'll take my 19mpg and drive 70-75 all day long.
