Reasonable?

So I checked out at 2007 G35s sedan the other day, $13,999. 87,000 km (54,000 miles). Yes the price is awfully and alarmingly low, but I need an opinion from more people. The car has had a $5,000 repair two years ago, front right bumper. No structural damage just a bumper and possibly a new headlight. When I had gone to check out the car I was warned the price was too low and maybe the mileage had been rolled back. Looking at the car in person it was flawless from an exterior point of view. As the for interior the seat bottoms had the wear of a 87,000km car, but the extra bolstering from the sport model on the driver seat from the shoulder area down to the thighs showed excessive wear. The leather was cracked and hard. So I was wondering if this car is something I should stray away or is reasonable given its price, mileage, accident history and leather wear? Also is the sport model sedan known for this leather wear?

Are you able to do maintainence yourself? Are you mechanically inclined?

I only say that because while the powertrains on these cars is pretty reliable, there is a lot of minor issues that can pop up that nickel and dime you. If you are a DIY they are pretty cheap to maintain, but you'll still need to dedicate time to fluids and such.

These cars are gas hogs. Even if they say 25MPG on the highway, expect 20MPG especially if you like to enjoy driving once in a while.

So if $10K is your budget and you blow that on your car, hopefully you've factored in a budgen for maintainence, fuel and insurance as they will be expensive. The prices for these cars have come down, but unless you are DIY you'll find they are expensive to maintain when the dealer quotes you $300 for tranny service, $300 for the AWD service, $200 to replace the serpentine belt, etc etc. $800+ for tires, $400 for a brake job, etc etc. These are all things you need to see if they need addressing when looking at a car with 80K+ miles on it as you don't know if the original owner followed the maintainence schedule or not. If you are handy and can do this work yourself, these costs come waaaaay down. But if you aren't, you may want to explore another car.

2007 G Coupe Problems?

I know there are numerous threads about coupe problems. But I would like to focus on the 07 AT coupes. Im looking into a 2007 Coupe AT Silver 105,000km (around 65,000 miles) for $12,999. As far as i can tell from the pictures the paint looks flawless after hearing about all these G paint issues online (as far as i've heard the paint is horrible with the black color, but is the silver just as bad as-well?
So my question is regarding 07 Coupes, are the flaws of the window motors, headunit failure, interior rattles prevalent like the older coupes? Also what are other potential problems I should be aware of?

I have had my 07 5at coupe for 15 mos. knock on wood but 0 issues 73k miles on the clock and purchase at 67k.

Drive it down a brick or really bumpy road to check for rattles/noises.

I do that with every new or used car/truck I buy.

I did have an 06 coupe back in the day & had a window motor replaced under warranty.

Traded it 4 plus years ago. Wasn't practical for me as a daily driver.

Now I have the 07 for a fun car and don't have to drive it in the winter.
