07' G35X Sedan with subframe rust - worth it?
Hi all,
First off, my phone camera is messed up and I was not able to get any photos. I'll do my best to describe the situation.
So, I am currently considering a 2007 G35X sedan. It has around 79,000 miles on it and is in near perfect condition aside from the issue I am about to describe and minor cosmetic imperfections in the interior. Today, I got the car inspected at an independent service garage before making the purchase and the mechanic found (and showed me) that there was rust forming on the subframe of the car. The rear has a few spots, however, the front engine cradle is the main concern. It has developed rust on it, no holes or fractures, but definitely spots that will lead to it needing to be replaced within 2-3 years from now (mechanic's and my opinion).
Usually, I would not consider a car like this, but its price ($8,000) and mileage is on the low end for my area (New England / MA). Also, given my area, it is hard to find a local car of this age without rust. If I purchase the car, I plan to purchase the subframe myself (second-hand) and have a shop install. I would like to avoid having a car shipped from a southern state.
Given the price, mileage, otherwise great condition, and my location is this a car I should still be considering / should purchase. Appreciate any advice!

I'm guessing the rear was actually one of the smaller subframe braces, the actual subframe itself is very large and made entirely from aluminum so rust is not an issue.
As for the front subframe, I've never heard on one rusting to the point it needed replacement but there is a large subframe brace shaped like a "W" that is a common item to rust, they're also easy to replace and fairly inexpensive.
